No Dumping Milk

Does anyone have any idea why one wouldn't be allowed to dump milk down the bathroom drains?

(This was taken in the cow building at the New York State Fair. I know nothing about the ins and outs of cow husbandry...)

Have you seen your arteries after a chocolate milkshake?

If you have full-cream cow milk in the pipes, it would coat the insides if a whole lot of it went down. It would clog, just as if you poured bacon fat down your drain in large quantities.

See:

http://www.surrey.ca/Inside+City+Hall/City+Departments/Engineering/Operations/Sanitary+Sewer+Operations/Dos+and+Donts/default.htm

where they say

"Do not pour sour milk down the sink. Why? One litre of full cream milk has enough fat in it to cover the surface of an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Simply dipose [sic] through your garbage."

Well the answer is obvious now that it's been explained to me. Thanks!
