Bridgton, Maine, July 13, 1996 - It poured all day, Sue's grandmother was rushed to the hospital, then the electricity (and water) went out. And after that inauspicious start, here we are celebrating our ten-year anniversary. The days, the vacations, the meals, the parties, the years, everything has all flown by, yet it still seems like we've been together forever. In a good way.
Unfortunately, I wasn't smart enough to make a deal like Larry David did, but we were at least thinking ahead enough to snag reservations at Per Se - one has to call exactly two months in advance if you want a shot at getting a table, so at two minutes to 10 in the morning on May 13, Sue started dialing and redialing. She got through about 10:05, and the 7pm and 8pm seatings were already booked. 9pm it is (that's about the time we usually eat anyway). Until then, it's just another ordinary work day, like most ordinary work days over the past ten years.
Oh, and we're also unexpectedly going to Paris next weekend. For free! You bet I'll blog about that when I get back...
(PS - wedding guests included buoy_girl, greenexecutive, jeremywhite, and possibly other LiveJournal users out there, but it's hard to tell, since we all have aliases for some reason...)
