Higgins Beach, Maine - June 30 and July 1, 2007 - Last weekend we took a weekend warrior trip to Sue's grandmother's cottage. Five-and-a-half hours up on Friday night, six hours back (including a stop to stock up at the New Hampshire State Liquor Store) on Sunday. In between we mostly ate - fried clams, lobster rolls, hamburgers off the grill - and drank. Sure, there was wine and beer, but we also had an impromptu milk-tasting. Gotta love vanilla milk - it doesn't get much more wholesome than that.
We also saw Ratatouille, which, like all of Pixar's movies, was superb. The only thing even slightly wrong with the movie was that Sue didn't want to watch it at the drive-in (yes, they still have drive-in movie theaters in Maine!), but even the bland multiplex couldn't diminish my enjoyment. I don't even know why I bother watching movies that aren't made by Pixar anymore.
