- Cherried cucumber. Fried mayonnaise. Compressed watermelon. Kimchi puree. Cilantro sorbet. Pizza pebbles. Smoked macadamia. Lamb bacon. Mmmmm... lamb bacon. We had all this and more for our anniversary at WD-50, a fantastically inventive (and expensive) restaurant on the Lower East Side. Get the tasting menu, add on the wine pairing (ten very generous pours of ten very good wines), and while you may not leave full, you'll have yourself one of the most memorable meals of your life.
taught us, it's not always about stuffing yourself. Here you enjoy the creativity and savor the unexpected flavors. Though there's no shame in wishing you could stuff yourself on cilantro sorbet and lamb bacon all week.)
